A beautiful piece of jewellery that has been made from a pair of sterling silver sugar tongs. The initials of the family can be seen on the back of the bracelet and is complete with an adjustable safety chain. It was considered a sign of wealth to have the family's initials on their cutlery. Originally hallmarked, c.1800 at the 'London Assay Office' and weighs 21.8g. As with all my pieces that have the original hallmark, it comes with a 'Change of Use' certificate from the Sheffield Assay Office, as this is a legal requirement.
