A beautiful sterling silver Anointing Spoon that dates back to 1901. The anointing is the most sacred part of the coronation ceremony and this takes place before the investiture and crowning. This is a small anointing spoon that has been made into a ring using only the handle of the spoon. Originally hallmarked at the London Assay Office, weighs 6.6g. Please select your ring size, making sure that the correct size is given. The ring currently measures an ‘M'. By increasing or decreasing the size, this will slightly change the appearance of the ring. All my rings come in a box and hessian pouch, together with the attached certificate of 'Change of Use' from the ‘Sheffield Assay Office’ which is a legal requirement.
